Grindwheel's 2018 Dream Team Challenge III Results October 23 2018, 0 Comments

Fire, wrecking, ropes and handrails! This past September was really one to remember. For the third year in a row, riders from all over the country participated in the game of games: The Grindwheel Dream Team Challenge.

Every September, crews of BMX enthusiasts hit the streets lighting themselves on fire, jumping over each other and drinking beverages at an alarming rate. To the normal man, this is certainly madness. However, to 114 riders this seemed like a great idea.

Fourteen teams signed up this year turning in twelve videos and including over 100 riders. Each team is given a list of "challenges" to complete for alotted point amounts. At the end of September, the team who turns in a video of themselves scoring the most points: wins. Seems pretty easy right?

Wrong. Every rider will tell you it is harder than you may think. In three years, we've seen hospital visits, separated shoulders, ripped finger tips. and plenty of vomiting. Pain arrives in the most unlikely of ways in September.

We'd like to thank Adam Kennedy down at Two Fisted Mario's for helping us get the Video Premier organized. Also a huge thank you to Fred Gates and Reklamation BMX for helping us with the banners and prizes. Thank you to the staff and also thank you to each and every rider that helped make this so fun and rad! Thank you BMX!!

DVD IS IN THE WORKS!!!

Without further delay, here are the results of another amazing month of lunacy.

Frisco Bike Park Dirt Jam! September 12 2018, 0 Comments

The town of Frisco was founded by Henry Recen in 1880 because of the mining boom throughout the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Pioneers, bandits, miners, trappers and traders came here in search of riches beyond their wildest dreams. The times have changed now as the town now attracts more than just your average thrill seeker.

People from all over the world come to visit Frisco, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin for the amazing skiing and snowboarding conditions. In the summer months, the area attracts outdoor enthusiasts from all walks of life. One of the attractions that brings people from far and wide is the Frisco Adventure Bike Park.

Nestled between The Wichita and Swan Mountains, FABP offers downhill, slalom, and jump sections for all skill levels of riders. On Sunday, September 9, the Pusher BMX Crew threw a Dirt Jump Jam to bring riders together and have a good time. The event was sponsored by Profile Racing, Demolition Parts, The Shadow Conspiracy, Subrosa and Kink BMX.

There were about fifty riders in attendance with a bunch of very happy spectators. If you were present, then you were lulled by the smooth voice of Pat Sabo on his new microphone. Mat Olson decided to put on a dirt jumping clinic that displayed basically every jumping variation you can do on a BMX Bike. Ryan Cibulski went really high and the local shredders did some of the best trains that I have personally ever witnessed.

If you missed this one, I hope that these pictures help you get a feel for the great day that was had. Come out to the next jam. Throw out the meanest dog piss air that you can muster and experience the good times that the Frisco Adventure Bike Park has to offer.

One week in the Rocky Mountains with the Pusher Shop Team fueled by Alcohol,Candy Weed and Propane with the intention of camping riding and sight seeing everything in our way.

We ripped around the mountains on motorcycles followed by two cars full of our gear and bikes camping in different National Forest spots nightly getting into heated discussions about the stupidest things, seeing whos liver is the strongest and buying more bread than a crew of 9 would ever need. We rode over a half dozen parks, rafted down a river and traveled over 1,000 miles in the state of CO seeing some of the best scenery America has to offer. We seen the Lahey challenge go down we saw the rage of a close friend and millions and millions of stars every evening.

When you eat out of a cooler, wake up hungover for a week and are constantly on the go it starts to wear on the body. We all decided to call it quits after night 7 and opted for a nice meal in Frisco and to get home early to our wonderful beds and GFs

Pusher En El Paso Video March 22 2016, 0 Comments

The Pusher BMX shop team tripped down to El Paso for a weekend of ditches and Tecate.

The goal was to drive through the night sleep two hours in a parking lot get up and shred the west Texas town of El Paso. The crew was itching big time to ride in some warm weather after one cold ass winter and a few of us were coming off injuries and in need of nothing but riding and good times.

No sleep didnt bother us at all, simply add Tecates and the bros and the riding was on. New spots bring out excitement and El Paso has hidden gems everywhere. Grimy, dirty, old town filled with endless ditches, unique spots and dust. We hit a nice mixture of ditches, street spots and parks. The boys killed it at every spot we went to and did not dissapoint in the night life either. We ate like high school kids and partied like sailors on leave. Preston lead the crew with 59 Tecates in two days while the rest of the crew just did their best to keep up. We stayed about 10 blocks from the Mexico border and it sure seemed like it. The gringos were accepted by the locals and we made amigos with the bar tenders and local senoritas. Each day was a repeat of the next, find a park to warm up grab some shitty food and some Tecates get sun burnt and shred till last call.

Every time the shop team gets together for a road trip shit is going to wild and fun and it always reminds me as to why the hell i continue to run around the country with kids half my age on a short budget, no sleep just to enjoy laughs and the all important BMX bike. Cant wait till the next time im already itching for more.

    Preston Levi/Pusher BMX Shop 2015 Video December 04 2015, 1 Comment

"2015 started off with some leg surgery and a whole lot of stitches. Thirty four between both legs to be exact. It has been a tough journey to get back to riding comfortably. There were times that I didn't know if I would ever be able to ride like I did prior to my leg break. With the help of Pusher BMX Shop, my lovely girlfriend Dani, and the loving care of my Aunt and Uncle, I would have never been able to.

However, another source of inspiration came to me. We made a friend at the shop this year named Alex Lewis. He was a young man fighting cancer and dreaming of riding bmx bikes and living the shop life. He was such an inspiration to all of us with his strength and positive nature. Alex lost his battle with cancer this past autumn. His message and inspiration however can never be defeated. So to anyone watching, anyone who cares, this one's for you Alex. Shred in the sky homie, we'll grind again someday."
